Although it's the baby of the family, the SPLat SL100 is no toy! This is a serious controller capable of being programmed for complex functions.
The SL100 is the successor to the SL88, which is used as an embedded machine controller by a large number of OEMs world-wide. From pallet wrappers to automatic car washes, from window shutters to turnstiles, the SL100 has the capacity to handle complex control tasks.
Unlike similarly priced "programmable relays" the SL100 has a rich programming language and ample memory capacity, so you won't find yourself dead-ended half way through a project. 
Unlike most other board level controllers, the SPLat SL100 is ready to use out of the box.
The 8 protected digital inputs are designed for compatibility with dry contact switches and NPN style sensors. SL100 is a single board programmable logic controller that includes a number of innovative features.

Key Features:

•  8 digital inputs. The inputs can accept relay contacts or NPN open collector.
•  8 digital outputs. The 8 digital outputs are 500mA Darlington transistors capable of driving small DC solenoid valves or relay coils.
• All external connections are on plug-in connectors for fast final product assembly.
• 1 versatile analog inputs which can be configured to operate on 0-10V, 0-20mA or as a temperature measuring input (using an external thermistor sensor)
• 1 analog outputs which can generate a 0-10V signal, with a maximum load current of 5mA. The outputs have internal current limiting
• Provision for modem communications
• An extremely flexible range of expansion possibilities.

For program development all you need is the free software, a simple power supply and a standard RS232 cable.
The SL100 is available one-off as a Developer's Kit (SPL-010), which includes a resources CD and printed materials, or as a cost-saving, bulk packaged board-only product (SPL-011) for OEM use.
The SL100 is programmed using a basic type language featuring subroutines which has been tailored for control applications
