Arduino Diecimila

The Arduino Diecimila is an open-source physical computing platform based on a simple i/o board and a development environment that implements the Processing/Wiring language. Arduino can be used to develop stand-alone interactive objects or can be connected to software on your computer (e.g. Flash, Processing, MaxMSP). The open-source IDE can be downloaded for free (currently for Mac OS X, Windows, and Linux).
It is a microcontroller board based on the ATmega168 (datasheet). It has 14 digital input/output pins (of which 6 can be used as PWM outputs), 6 analog inputs, a 16 MHz crystal oscillator, a USB connection, a power jack, an ICSP header, and a reset button. It contains everything needed to support the microcontroller; simply connect it to a computer with a USB cable or power it with a AC-to-DC adapter or battery to get started.

"Diecimila" means 10,000 in Italian and was named thusly to mark the fact that over 10,000 Arduino boards have been made. The Diecimila is the latest in a series of USB Arduino boards; for a comparison with previous versions, see the index of Arduino boards.

Arduino Skinny

Description: SparkFun's minimal design approach to Arduino. This is a 3.3V Arduino running the 8MHz bootloader (select 'LilyPad' within the Arduino software). The Skinny is not a fully certified Arduino board. We're working with Arduino.cc towards certification. Future revisions will have multiple improvements. This board does not work with the 5V Arduino shields but does work nicely with the prototyping shield.

Skinny does not come with connectors populated so that you can solder in any connector or wire with any orientation you need.

To minimize the cost of an Arduino the USB connection has been moved off board. This board connects directly to the LilyPad USB Link (listed below). Skinny does not currently support remote reset from the Arduino Software.

Skinny was designed to be... well, Skinny. We wanted the board to be low profile. The DC power jack footprint is available, but not populated. We recommend running the board with a LiPo battery for better portability.

Features:
  • ATmega168V running at 8MHz internal oscillator
  • Low-voltage board needs no interfacing circuitry to popular 3.3V devices and modules (GPS, Accelerometers, sensors, etc)
  • USB connection off board
  • 3.3V regulator
  • DC input 3.3V up to 12V
  • Resettable fuse prevents damage to board in case of short
  • Power select switch acts as on/off switch

    Arduino Wee

     Description: SparkFun's minimal design approach to Arduino. This is a 3.3V Arduino running the 8MHz bootloader (select 'LilyPad' within the Arduino software). The Wee is not a fully certified Arduino board. Future revisions will have multiple changes.

    Wee does not come with connectors populated so that you can solder in any connector or wire with any orientation you need.

    The Wee was designed to minimize the cost of an Arduino. The Wee is like the Arduino Mini (same pin out) but to keep the cost low, only SMD components are used and it is two layer. This board connects directly to the LilyPad USB Link (listed below). Wee does not currently support remote reset from the Arduino Software, but we're working on it.

    Wee was designed to be... well, Wee. There's nothing there that doesn't need to be.

    Features:

  • ATmega168V running at 8MHz with external resonator (0.5% tolerance)
  • Low-voltage board needs no interfacing circuitry to popular 3.3V devices and modules (GPS, Accelerometers, sensors, etc)
  • 3.3V regulator
  • DC input 3.3V up to 12V
  • On board Power and Status LEDs

    Arduino Lilypad

    Description: This is LilyPad Arduino - the main board consisting of an ATmega168V with the Arduino bootloader and a minimum number of external components to keep it as small (and as simple) as possible. Board will run from 2V to 5V.

    LilyPad is a wearable e-textile technology developed by Leah Buechley and cooperatively designed by Leah and SparkFun. Each LilyPad was creatively designed to have large connecting pads to allow them to be sewn into clothing. Various input, output, power, and sensor boards are available. They're even washable!

    Dimensions:

        * 50mm outer diameter
        * Thin 0.8mm PCB
