Microstepping Motor Controllers

SMC-002 M325 Microstepping Bipolar Stepper Motor Controller
The M325 is a high performance microstepping driver based on one of the most advanced technologies in the world today. It is suitable for driving any 2-phase and 4-phase hybrid stepping motors. By using advanced bipolar constant-current chopping technique, it can output more speed and power from the same motor, compared with traditional technologies such as L/R drivers. Its 3-state current control technology allows coil currents to be well controlled, with relatively small current ripple and therefore less motor heating.

Features

  • High performance, low cost
  • Supply voltage 12 to +24VDC,
Adjustable peak current 0.39 to 2.5A
  • 3-state current control technology
  • The current semi-reduction automatically switches in on absence of clock pulses CP
  • Suitable for 2-phase and 4-phase stepping motors
  • Optically isolated input signals
  • Pulse frequency up to 100 KHz
  • 4 Selectable microstep resolutions 1,2,4 and 8
  • DIP switch current setting with 7 different values
    * PUL/DIR & CW/CCW mode optional
  • Clock Pulse and Direction Inputs feature photoelectric isolation
  • Small size (86x55x20.5mm)

The M325 is suitable for a wide range of stepping motors of Nema 17 and 23, and usable for various kinds of machines, such as X-Y tables, labeling machines, laser cutters, engraving machines, and pick-place devices. Extremely suitable for applications excepted to be low vibration, high speed and high precision

SMC-004 ND556 Microstepping Bipolar Stepper Motor Controller
The ND556 is a high performance microstepping driver using pure-sinusoidal wave current control technology, it is particularly suitable for applications desired with extremely low noise and low heating. Currently most of the microstepping drivers in the market apply pseudo-sinusoidal current control technology, which makes the output current to be a distorted sine wave, or makes much current ripple, both cause the motor higher noise and bigger vibration, furthermore cause serious motor heating, so when the motor works long time, the torque decrease, motor aging and the use life shorted. However the pure-sinusoidal precise current control technology (domestic patented technology) applied by ND556 can improve above problems very well, and the operating effect of the stepping motor is somehow inclined to that of servo motor.

Features

  • Patented technology
  • Pure-sinusoidal precise current control technology
  • Extreme low motor noise
  • Both driver and motor low heating
  • High performance, low cost
  • Supply voltage +20 to +45VDC,
Adjustable peak current 1.4 to 5.6A
  • The current semi-reduction automatically switches in on absence of clock pulses
  • Suitable for 4,6,8 lead motors
  • Optically isolated input signals
  • Pulse frequency up to 400 KHz
  • 15 selectable resolutions
  • DIP switch current setting with 8 different values
  • Over-voltage and short-circuit protection
  • Small size (118x75.5x33mm)

The ND556 is suitable for a wide range of stepping motors of NEMA 17, 23 and 34, and usable for various kinds of machines, such as X-Y tables, labeling machines, laser cutters, engraving machines, and pick-place devices. Particularly useful in applications with extremely low noise and low vibration, high speed and high precision are desired.
