FUNCTION GENERATOR
Probably one of the most versatile pieces of test equipment. As well as
providing a consistent waveform it is able to automatically sweep through a
range of frequencies, useful for checking response of audio circuits
etc.This digital function generator has variable sweep rate and width, as
well as functioning as a standard waveform generator with sinusoidal,
triangle and square wave outputs. DC offset adjustment allows the waveform
to be shifted above or below 0V, and symmetry adjustment can be used to
generate asymmetrical waveforms, with positive going cycles of narrower
width than the negative going pulses. Output amplitude is adjustable from 0
to 10V p-p via front panel control, with a switchable -20dB attenuator.
Output frequency is adjustable between 0.02Hz to 2MHz via front panel rotary
dial over seven ranges. It has an external sync output for synchronising
other test equipment to the signal generator, such as CROs and logic probes.
This allows observation of phase shifts relative to the signal generator
output. It also features a 2 MHz 4 digit frequency counter with external BNC
counter input.
